F.U.N @ Genting/KL (18/12-21/12)

We took the morning 707 coach from Bugis @ 7am and set off! My FIL has kindly agreed to fetch us to the bus station so that we can save on the cab fare! hehe! The journey there was rather smooth, the kids had their morning nap on the bus, except for Grace who seem too excited to sleep and remain active, until when we are about to reach Genting at ard 130pm, then she dozed off! *faintz*. No choice, have to wake her up lor... but thank God, she is not too grouchy! ha! The weather was not that cold when we reached, prob around 15 deg. Cool weather! shiok! While waiting for our rooms to be ready, we took our lunch at this resturant "Hainan". Their specialty is the chicken rice. But I dun find it good + it's so expensive! RM14.50 for a plate of chicken rice! aiyo! But as day went by, we realised the price of food in Genting is that steep lor.... Bo bian lor! As the time is rather late by the time we finished our lunch, we decided just to jalan jalan around the theme park, take soem pictures and then rest early for the day. We will "chiong" the theme park the next day!

The following day, we woke up real early lor! 730am we woke up, get ready to "chiong" the theme park! We had breakfast at Mac, and after that, Dear bought the full day pass (indoor + outdoor) for our family. Most of the rides we took are the family rides (not those thrilling kind). but Dear and the other 2 fathers decided to do something more adventurous, so they went for the "giant drop" - strapped to a chair and fall from a high point (maybe around 15 storey high!). Aiyo, that time I was taking Grace on the ferris wheel and the giant drop is just opposite us. I was telling GG how dangerous it was to fall down and see how the aunty and uncle shout! just as I finished saying all these, we looked down and guess what we see? I saw Dear running towards the Q for the giant drop! I told GG "look papa - oh no! so dangerous!" Then I turned and look at Grace's face, she looked so worried... then i told her, let's pray for papa together! After we came down from the ride, we went to wait for Dear. When Dear came down, GG says: "Papa, dun do it again ah! " (I told her to say). And then she turned towards me and say "you also ah" (This one is from GG herself, I dint teach her) HAHA! Dear was so touched to hear GG say this! Hehe... "kuai nu-er"!

This round, GG is able to take most of the rides at the theme park. Even alone by herself, she sat in the merry-go-round! Initially GG is very resistant, but after some family rides + Elsie jie-jie to accompany her (bumper car), she warmed up and hence dare to sit by herself! For Jon-jon, he of course is also v happy! Everyday wake up can go "gai-gai"! haha. Though we had fun, it's also very tiring, not just for the parents, but also for the children. Their nap time gone hay-wire.... but good thing is they got tired quite early in the night (by 9pm) and will zoomed into their dreamland quite early, and that is when WE adults can have some freedom on our own. 19th Dec is our wedding anniversary. So that night, we pet Grace & Jon-jon to bed early, and we sneaked out to the Starbucks to have some "we" time. Was a relaxing 1 hr, but soon I became quite sleepy and we turned back to bed... haha!

Saturday morning @930am, we took the coach to KL. We reached there @12pm, had lunch and went shopping at Sungei Wang (while the children were napping). Things are relatively cheaper than SIN, though the quality not too good la. We also met up with Dear's aunty who is working @ Sungei Wang! She is v nice to visit us at the hotel + bring us to get nice dinner! On Sunday, we had a quick breakfast at the hotel and proceed to KLCC to shop (+ see the Twin tower). Took some pictures and then we "deposit" our children and hubby at Parkson's toy dept and off we go to shop! Haha! The time is too short, only managed to get :
1) GG a brown dress (from Barbie)
2) Jon-jon a Beige pants from United Colors of Benetton
3) Jon-jon a Gymboree shirt
4) Children Chinese song CD
5) High 5 DVD
6) 2 transformers for my nephews

Most of the items have 30-50% discount (mainly buying for my bro's wedding in Mar 2009). No time to buy MY stuff :( After lunch at the foodcourt, we took a cab back to hotel to catch the coach back to SIN. All of us, esp the children, were so tired that they fell asleep soon after we board the coach. We reached home ard 10pm (again my nice FIL fetch us from the woodland check pt!)

All in all, it's a good and fun trip for everyone! (only if more time for shopping) My kids, Grace especially, have a lot of FUN with so many playmates (cousins and church-mates). Will consider to bring them up the cloud again!
