GG 1st "overseas" trip - Sultan Shaol

Our last weekend was spent at Sultan Shoal which I booked thru PSA. Though it is a S'pore island, we still need to travel by ferry for 1/2 hr, so still considered a OVERSEAS trip lah!!! HAHAHA. It was a 5 days 4 nights trip and hence we have to bring a lot of barang barang wif us. Especially with GG, we even have to lugged GG bath tub, Sarong and her stroller along!!!!! HEEHEE..... cos we scared even if there is tub there it will be unclean.... and of course the stroller to act as her chair.
On the first day, ((dong)) parents and his uncle and aunty joined us. And 2 of ((dong)) XBOX buddies also came wif us. Taffy and Emmanuel. We checked in on 22 Feb (thurs) ard 415pm. We boarded the ferry at West Coast pier and upon reaching the island, we were amazed to see that indeed its a v small island with just 2 chalets and a lighthouse. Can finish exploring the island in just 5 minutes!!!! HAHAHA. The other chalet is occupied by another group of ppl, mostly men and they also brought a lot of things, saw 2 cartons of beer!!! but their objective of the trip is clearly displayed cos they brought a lot of fishing rods. the moment they stepped on the island, they started fishing!!!!
The chalet is surprisingly clean and later I was told by the chalet supervisor that actually before us, a minister (forget his name) was there. Woahahaha.... do think that we are staying or even sleeping in the same place as a minister...Feel so honoured. The next day, my friend, YL, Joc and XW arrived in the evening. THese gals are are fully prepared. the moment they arrived, they started to set up the 6 men tent that Joc borroed from her colleague. But unfortunately, the life of that tent ended in Sultan shoal cos one of the metal broke as we were assembling it....*Wooo*....Joc is v sad cos the tent is from her colleague. just hope it can b repaired. Ard 5pm, we started our 1st BBQ!!! but not long after we started BBQ, it begin to rain!!! *bleh* so we hurry and cook as much as we can before we pack up. After dinner, we celebrated YL bdae with the cake they brought and ard 11 pm, we started a round of game "polar bear" and then "bluff". these 2 games lasts for ard 3 hours and finally ended at 230AM.......*snooze*.........
My parents , eldest sister, her hubby and ((dong)) bro and SIL arrived on sat morning. with them ard, there is sufficient ppl ard for mahjong and thats when the game starts!!!! I can onli play a few rds when GG take her afternooon naps or at nite afte she sleeps..... v long time since I played MJ.
Actualli wanted to swim cos I heard there is a lagoon on the island. I even went to buy floats for GG just 4 the trip....but looking at the lagoon....it really CMI..... it was dirty cos basically the water are from the sea and I can see a lot of dumps lying at the bottom when its low tide..... *yucks*
For the 1st few days, i did not managed to catch the sun set and sun rise. Only on the last night, we managed to catch a v beautiful sunset!!!! Really nice feeling to have wind beating agst ur face and watching the sun goes down.....
We departed the island on monday morning. It was really a good trip cos managed to spend time with family on the island with no work distraction and it was our 1st trip wif GG ever since she is born :)
